How to Save Gas

Gas is a necessity when it comes to your vehicle and with the prices always fluctuating, it's important to have little tips on how you can save it. Listed below are 5 simple tips to follow which will help you save your gas and your dollar.

1. Don't Fill Completely
When you fill your tank to the top, some of the gas may seep out. Don't spend money on gas that isn't going to be used; fill up but not completely!

3. Replace Air Filters
As dust and dirt begins to clog the air filters, your vehicle's engine has to work even harder and becomes less fuel-efficient. Always replace air filters when necessary.

2. Check your Tire Pressure
Having low tire pressure can cause reduction in fuel economy. Make sure your tires are at the correct PSI (pounds per square inch) your owner's manual recommends. Be sure to check them once a month.

4. Use the Proper Oil
By using the proper oil type, you can improve your mileage by 1-2 percent. Manufacturers recommend a certain type of oil for each vehicle; Honda owners are encouraged to use Genuine Honda Oil 0W-20

5. Seek Shade
The hot sun may evaporate fuel from your gas tank.
Try to park your vehicle in the shade as much as possible to avoid this.
