The next-generation Civic Type R has been redesigned for 2023. The complete look has not yet been revealed for the interior or exterior, but the camouflaged prototype gives curious car enthusiasts something to get excited about. It showcases a more reserved look from the previous years but keeps its attention-grabbing nature. So far, it is clear that the Civic Type R boasts a distinct rear wing, dynamic lines, a three-tip exhaust setup, sticky performance tires, and aggressive 10-spoke designed 20-inch black wheels.

The newest Civic Type R interior will also showcase a more conservative, minimalistic look than its predecessors. The 2023 Honda Civic Type R will continue to be powered by a 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine mated to a manual transmission. The current-generation Civic Type R produces 306 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque, and it's expected that the 2023 will be more powerful. Honda has labelled the new hot hatch as "The Fastest Civic Type R Ever," confirming that it has beat out previous generations in terms of power and speed. It is also suspected that Honda will upgrade the suspension on this front-drive-only hatchback to suppress torque steer and deliver a more smooth yet dynamic ride.
